Location and I think it would have had a good vibe if there...
Location and I think it would have had a good vibe if there were more ppl staying there.,
- shower was freezing, not what you want went it’s a cold city. The lady at was really helpful in trying to get it to work but it was temperamental, freezing most of the time and low pressure when it did get warm. -bedroom was cold and there was no heating - now sound proofing of bedrooms, which is crazy when they have bands playing late some nights of the week. Felt like we were sleeping in the same room as the band. They get you to sign a waiver when you check in, but it should be advertised at the point of booking.

Very little sleep for the money
The staff were very friendly, and the woman we spoke to was especially helpful, offering advice on things to do in the area and listening to our complaints.
We booked the hostel as somewhere to stay after arriving from a late flight. However, we found out on arrival that at weekends the bar has live music and DJs until 3am. I did receive an email informing me of this but only after we'd confirmed the booking with credit card - with the ridiculous 72 hour cancellation policy (like many travellers we booked the place with only a couple of days to spare) there was no chance of a refund. We checked the booking.com profile and there is absolutely no mention of this, despite having loud late music every weekend. This seems pretty shady. This was made worse by our room being directly over the bar area where the gig was, and there's been no attempt to soundproof the room whatsoever. As a result, noone in the room slept properly before 3am (other guests were angry about this as well). The triple bunk beds were pretty difficult to get into (and you'll notice the two dark photos of the room are hidden right at the end of the 45 pics on booking). For this price we expected a lot better - don't be fooled by the 'industrial chic' in the photos. Ultimately we felt a bit swindled - we raised the fact that the booking profile is completely misleading about the hostel at weekends, but it sounds like the management have chosen to ignore customer feedback on this issue.

One of the managers was great.
One of the managers was great. I liked my room and my bed, and it was clean.
There were two light bulbs in two bathrooms that didn’t work, there wasn’t hot water one morning.
